The Texas Gulf Coast is still booming due to the Emerging and Traditional Industries prospering within our Region. There are also enormous growth opportunities available throughout our Region due to the demand that will be created with the Panama Canal Expansion.
In 2018, Port Houston celebrated the arrival of three new Neopanamax (ship-to-shore) cranes and ten rubber-tired gantry cranes at the Bayport Container Terminal. The new cranes highlight about $100 million in investments and are yet another step to ensure Port Houston is ready for future growth.

Within close proximity to the industrial complex along Galveston Bay including the petrochemical complex in Texas City, (approximately 12 miles away) as well as the entire Houston industrial complex along the Houston Ship Channel.
